The Winery

Sanzon Tokaj is a small boutique winery in the lovely village of Erdőbénye, in the heart of Tokaj owned by Erika Rácz and her husband Gergely Jánosi. 3 hectares, organic cultivation, limited selection of wines. Get your hands on these wines if you would like to mesmerise your consumers something very special. Founded in 2014, on a small parcell of 0,3ha inherited from her parents, Erika was born in small village in Tokaj-Hegyalja, they always had grapes and wines. They cultivated three sites: Rány, Meszes and Nyakvágó with the 2 main grape of the PDO Furmint and Hárslevelű. They make elegant and unique wines with richness of the terroir and fruitiness of the grapes. No chemicals, farmed with minimal intervention, on a biodynamic way. Erika believes unique good wines are made keeping the balance of fruity aromas and showing the characteristic of a terroir, therefore she is combining both cold fermentation and ageing in stainless steel and in oak barrels (Stockinger made from austrian oak and Hungarian Kádár made from Zempléni oak). Their sortiment mainly includes dry wines and sparkling wine from the last 3 harvest and 2017 will be our first vintage to have sweet Szamorodni.
