Grand Tokaj

Grand Tokaj – owned by the Tokaj-Hegyalja University Foundation – is one of the most important Hungarian wineries, and the largest winery in the historic Tokaj-Hegyalja Wine Region. Besides its own 67 hectares of vineyards, of Grand Tokaj is working as an integrating force in the region, we also purchase grapes from around 800 hectares of vineyards under strict quality controls in cooperation with grape growers. With all this, we’re responsible for 35% of the total production of the region. Reflecting a new spirit of winemaking at the winery, Grand Tokaj wines today are made under the supervision of Károly Áts, winner of the title of “Winemaker of the Year” in 2012.
