Pelle Cellar

Pelle Pince (Pelle Cellar) is located in the center of Mád, one of the most prominent villages of Tokaj-Hegyalja. We nurture 14 000 vines on our own 4.9 hectres, and produce around 15 000 bottles of wines on a yearly basis. The grapevines were planted in 1950’s and 1960’s in the first class vineyards of Betsek and Szt Tamás. The vulcanic soil, with rhyolit, rhyolite tuff, zeolite provide a rich mineral character for our wines. We process our organic grapes by using classic winemaking methods with new tools in our 250 years old estate house. We use the natural yeast of the ferment our wines, for which we use oak barrels and stainless steel tanks as well. Our wines range from sparkling wine (methode classic) to Tokaji Aszú.
